This fabric combines two of Stone Island’s most cutting-edge research lines. Explore the interactions between light refraction technologies and material heat-sensitivity technologies. In the resins applied to a nylon substrate, both the glass microspheres that enable the fabric’s refraction and the micro-encapsulated pigments that alter the passage of light — and therefore the color of the material — based on temperature are embedded. The final effect is an organic, dynamic interplay of refraction and color. THERMO REFLECTIVE garments interact and change with the movements of the wearer. The fabric’s coating makes it water and wind resistant.
